Active protection of the environment through the adoption of certified wood

The internatinal organisaton FSC (forest stewardship council) defines criteria for the definition of sustainable forest cultivation. These criteria comprise ecological and sociale minimum norms by the forest cultivation, which have to be observed. The adhere of this norms is checked every year trough independent certifier by every forestowner, processor and salesman. After passing the exam successfully owners are allowed to mark their logs with a FSC-logo and can bring them to the market. During the processing will be ensured thorugh further tests that FSC wood becomes not mixed and marked with not-certified woods. Consequently, the FSC presents a signet, through which consumers can realize responsible and controlled forest cultivation. To say it quite simple: the norm of the FSC ensures that the used timber originates not from depletion . Because of regular certifications is the adherance of the requirements guaranteed.
